The Verity breasts...
I had a mammogram. And it wasn't the worst thing in the world. While I tend to go minimal when it comes to conventional medicine, mammograms are an exception for me. I know and love many wonderful women who have faced the "c" word and it just seems so widespread and indiscriminate. Last week, I scheduled a mammogram and thought I'd take you along in hopes that it might help demystify the process. The procedure implied more pain than I experienced. While the breasts get compressed for a few seconds, I found it to be uncomfortable, but tolerable. It's different for everyone, but according to one technician, timing matters. She said most womens' breasts are less tender in the first 12 days after your period. I also read a study that mammograms are actually more accurate when done in the first two weeks of a woman's cycle. In any case, this video is simply my experience and I would love to hear about yours.
Be well.
