APPLICATION #1: Jan Coad

Jan Coad is a mother of two from Bonney Lake, Washington.

Here is Jan's video application:

Here is Jan's current situation:

"After teaching ten years in the community college system I am now a stay at home mom who enjoys writing, painting, quilting and fiber arts. I am mom to an 18-yr-old daughter, an 11-yr-old son and a 44-yr-old husband.

As a family we love to travel across Washington, the US and Canada and I have been lucky enough to visit a few other countries as well.

I will have my first book published in August 2010, "Why Don't They Come With Instructions?" about raising children with Asperger's Syndrome, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and Tourette's Syndrome.

I post regularly on Gather.com and Facebook and would love to write a blog sharing my ways to Have a Full, Fun Life for Less!"

Here is Jan's blog post:

"In this economy we are all looking for extra benefits or rewards … the Verity Credit Union Cartwheel Checking makes me feel like a kid again. At forty it has been a while since I’ve done cartwheels, but for 3.05% APY on a checking account I might be willing to give it a try.

Obtaining these earnings is NOT difficult either. It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3:

1. Make 12 purchases each month using your debit card
2. Sign up to get your statements online
3. Access online banking each month

Who uses checks anymore – not me if I can avoid it! So the first step is a done deal. Who doesn’t want to save trees and have your statements delivered right to your Email account – you are probably checking Email on a daily basis anyway. Finally, check your account balances and see what checks have cleared your account right from your very own computer. Want some icing on your cake – you will get reimbursed for ATM fees.

Now that was pretty painless … if a busy mom of two special needs children thinks this sounds fabulous what mom wouldn’t?

With these savings why not buy a zoo membership? You’ll be supporting a worthy cause and have unlimited access to entertainment for you and your children. On the south end of Seattle we in Pierce County are very lucky to have Point Defiance Zoo. If a family of four pays entry fees on two separate occasions they have just about paid the annual membership. So why not join me in my pursuit to ride all three of the new camels!

Jan"
