Jade Burrowes is a mother of one from Seattle, Washington.

Here is Jade's current situation:

"I grew up in Seattle and no matter where I go run into someone I know (Seattle is such a small and friendly city!!)  I live with my husband Brandon (we meet at Seattle University) and our 2 1/2 month old adorable baby boy Connor. Both Brandon and I have lots of family in the area which is so nice when we need help! (Who knew that raising a baby would be so complicated?!)

I Being a stay at home mom is very rewarding and I am so glad that I get to be here for my baby and see every new thing he discovers.  I make sure that we get out often; we meet new people, go to new places, see new things, and are learning the way!"

Here is Jade's blog post:

"It was almost a year ago that I found out the most shocking news of my life... I was pregnant!  Suddenly, my whole world changed; no more caffeine! There was so much to do before the big day and the next nine months just flew by in a flurry of excitement and anticipation getting ready for our new little family. We had to move into our new house, plan our wedding, research all the essential baby stuff, and (most importantly) shop for all those adorable baby clothes!

When I found out that I was having a boy (which was very lucky- my husband Brandon and I could not agree on ANY girl names) a big problem emerged: cute boy clothes and accessories are IMPOSSIBLE to find.  After many unsuccessful trips to the mall and frantically searching online for clothes appropriate for my baby boy to wear (and crying when all the clothes I liked were for girls), I realized something had to be done. So, I decided then and there to start a baby clothing line. Now, I design, paint, and sew little outfits to help solve this problem. Starting a fashion business has always been my dream (although I had always focused on women’s cloting before), and while its a lot of hard work, I am loving every second of it!  Hopefully my little baby model and I will be able to get enough done between diaper changes, feedings, and playing to wow and amaze the local Seattle baby boutiques.

So baby Connor and I have our work cut out for us and we stay busy. We go jogging at Greenlake (almost all the moms there jog with the orange Bob stroller- so we stand out a little), walk to the library (Connor loves to read), stroll, shop, and socialize at the malls (Connor is a GREAT icebreaker, people everywhere chat with me when the two of us are out together), entertain friends (we’re starting a weekly girls get together), clean (ugh.... so much laundry), cook (I’m learning this is really hard to do with an infant that loves to be held constantly), design and sew... Whew!  Each thing we do is a new and exciting adventure for my baby and his smiling face is all I need to keep life interesting.
